Hey!!! Things are going great here. Working hard, progressing in the work. I don´t have a lot to say this week but you know what they say, no news is good news.
One thing I can mention is… I have no idea how I even lived before without Panederías and Tortillas. I seriously don´t know how I ate food before without tortillas. Like, yes I know in my house we had tortillas but not like this. Here we have fresh tortillas EVERY meal. I eat like 8 tortillas every meal, I love it! And whats cool is I learned a really neat trick, when you have tortillas you don´t need a knife. Its the coolest thing. What the people do is they have the fork in the right hand and a tortilla in the left, then they just use it to prod things and stuff. Its the best. Everyone also looks at me funny and they say stuff like, ¨Mire ese patojo, el esta comiendo como un chapin!¨ which translated is, ¨Look at that kid, hes eating like a Guatemalan!¨ I guess normal gringos haven´t caught onto the tortilla craze like I have.
Also, with the panederías, oooh I love them! For those of you that don´t know what they are, basically it is a bread store. The people make fresh bread every day. They also make these cookie things that are sooo good. They have pan dulce and everything. These are things that I could explain but unless you were living here and enjoying it as I am you couldn´t really understand it, but its something that everyone should experience.
I was eating the other day and the thought just popped into my head, like I am so acustomed to eating with tortillas ever meal that when the mission is all done and over I don´t know how I am going to function. I can´t imagine life with tortillas y panederías. That is all. Have a great week!

Sweet dude! We also have the panederías and pastelerías here on like every corner…I can honestly say that those things alone are making me fat — I´m addicted. Anyways, ¡Que te sigas adelante!

mmmm… The fresh smell of baking bread is one of my cherished childhood memories. The last time I visited Guatemala this sweet older mayan lady tried to teach me how to make tortillas with my hands…. I didnt quite get it though, they looked pretty deformed :O)Anyone interested in eating deformed fresh tortillas once Will gets back, come visit us!

Holy cow, I don’t know how I am going to live without fresh bread everyday back home, let alone fresh bread that’s only like thirty cents a loaf. Eat bread and stay so very goooood.
