Cada Dia es Dia de Reposo

Things are going great, my companion and trainer left this morning, it was pretty sad but thats that. He is headed back home to Honduras because hes done with his mission. I have a pretty sweet story to tell though. This morning when we woke up I was walking over to find something to eat and I heard something in our cabnets. I yelled to my companion and after expecting a little bit we found a rat!! This is the second time we have found a rat but the reason why this time it was more special is this thing was HUGE, it had the longest tail. We ended up trapping it off because we didnt want it to get away. When we opened the cabnet the rat took off running but my companion and I both had brooms in our hands and we hit the thing multiple times and killed it. It was pretty cool.

After that we took a shirt that my companion had drawn all over that said like 2 years, and all sorts of fun stuff and we took it to the backyard and caught it on fire. I looked at my companion then and said, go get the rat… haha. He looked at me and knew what I was thinking. I watched him run over to get the rat and then the scariest thing happened! Just as he went to grab it this rat jumped up, it like resurrected or something. It was the weirdest thing but he didnt move, he just stood there really confused not knowning what to do. So then my companion grabbed the broom and finished him off. I took a video of it and its pretty neat so Ill attach it here for you all to watch.

Well… ya… life as a missionary is going well. We have a few people that are progressing and hopefully we will have a few baptisms this month. The problem we have right now is we had to leave a lot of investigators because they werent progressing so now we are in the process of finding new ones meanwhile we are teaching the ones we have. Its a never ending cycle. Its fun though, finding, teaching, baptising, repeat process.

These next couple of days are going to be a little weird. Like I said my companion left this morning but I wont actually recieve my new companion until wednesday so for the next couple of days I am just going to be hanging out with the zone leaders. Hopefully they send me somebody good. Preferably somebody who cant speak english I need more practice with spanish.

Before I sign off for the day I want to send a big shout out and lots of love to the two newlyweds, Magnus and Celeste. My the good Lord bless you two always. I wish I could have been there but thats life… I love you guys.

P.S. Heres the video of the rat when he resurrected and I added two pictures in the photo gallery. One where my companion is pointing at it when we thought it was dead the first time and the second photo is a picture of the burning shirt and rat side by side. Rock.

Elder Skinner says:
Rats, that’s fun. We were teaching a guy with a pet rat and it would climb all over his face. It was pretty gross to say the least. Looks like things are going good and you’re working hard, I mean in all your pictures it looks like you’re sweating profusely so yeah. I love you man and keep it real.

mom says:
Grossssss!!!I hate rats!!

Will says:
Don´t be fooled Skinner, all that sweat comes from the one thousand degree weather.

Elder Taylor says:
