Well, another year has passed by and another birthday as well. I am officially 20, sweet. This birthday was great all of our investigators and the members were wishing me a happy birthday and giving us food it was sweet. I wish everyday was like that haha.

Couple things to note, my companion and trainer is going to leave this monday. Its his last day in the mission, its time for him to head home. So next week I will recieve a new companion and will officially not be one of the new people in the mission. One thing that happened this week that was really funny is this guy that was really drunk came up to us and was begging for money and he just would not leave us alone so finally my companion said, Fine, I will give you 25 len (which is basically nothing) if you dance for us. This drunk guy with so much passion began to dance in the middle of the street, it was the best thing I ever seen. I tried to get it on video but only got the last little part of it. I was laughing so hard. Im going to post it for all of you to see.

Another thing, that was pretty cool. Lots, I mean lots of people as us to give them blessings. 1) Because we are missionaries and 2) because there are not a lot of worthy priesthood holders. One thing thats kind of strange here in Reu is in all honestly there are some really strange things. Every once and a while you will find people that seriously have like bad spirits inside of them. In one experience I actually got to go with my companion and I gave a lady a blessing to cast the bad spirits out of her. It was a pretty neat experience. She is better now. All I got to say is the Priesthood is very real and the power that God gives and intrusts of with is remarkable if we are worthy of it.

Unfortunetly, we had a few investigators that we had to leave this week. The problem is they just weren´t progressing and did not want to be baptised. We have been working with them for a very long time and seeing as to how they didn´t want to progress we just had to let them go. One lady in particular is named Telma. Wow, this lady is soooo catholic and even though we explained time and time again and bore testimony she just didn´t want to follow what she knew was write. This lady had prayed recieved a testimony, told us in her own words that she new our church was the only true church but told us that she cannot change churches because she was born into the Catholic Church and if she changed that would be playing with God. We told her that if she recieved an answer from God and chose not to follow what he was telling her that is playing with God. And guess what she told us, Even if God were to SPEAK to me and TELL me to change churches she wasn´t going to do it. It was pretty strong words. We just told her wow… aunque Dios lo diga… que triste hermana… usted no esta despuesta para seguir la voluntad de Dios… and like that we left her.

But on the flip side we are teaching a lady named Rosario. The missionaries have been teaching her forever, off and on for over a year and a half. My companion and I decided to check out the situation so we began to teach her again. The problem with her is she new what she needed to do but just didn´t want to do it. She had never visited the church or anything so we just spoke to her plainly and direct. We basically told her that we know she knows the church is true but just doesn´t want to go to church because if she does she knows that she is going to have to start making some changes in her life that she isnt really quiet ready to make at this moment in her life. We asked her if that was her problem and she said yes… basically the result is she went to church last sunday!! And she has a photo of my companion and I hanging up in her house with all the photos of her kids! haha! She´s like adopted us into her family and for my birthday she bought us pizza and everything. She was thanking us so much saying that because of us she finally made the commitment to go to church and she wants to go again this sunday as well. She seriously is sooooo cool. Shes going to get baptised I just know it, the question is just when. The next time we go to visit her we are going to try and put a baptisimal date.

The work is going forward and I am so happy to be a part of it. This church is true and I knew that without a single doubt. My God bless each and everyone of you throughout this new year is my wish and my prayer…
