Friends and family! Hows it going? Feliz Navidad! Things are going great here in Reu! This last week was amazing. As a district we went around to all our investigators and through the week we sung to them and bore testimony. It really helped a lot! We had a guitar and everything and sung christmas songs. Because of it two people accepted the invitation to be baptised and some others accepted other various invitations.

This last week I finally had my first zone conference also. It was great! We had a huge Christmas dinner and everything. I loved hanging out with all the missionaries, good times… I want to explain my area a little more. My area Reu is right in the center of the city. So its always really noisy with music, cars, etc. Our house is right in front of 2 different bars, and every morning there is somebody new passed out there, its funny. But our area because its right in the center it has everything, all the stores, so all the other missionaries come to our area to buy things and do fun stuff but for us we don´t have to go anywhere because its all our area. Anyways this last week was crazy people were lighting sooo many fireworks and everything. They even had a parade go through our streets and there was probably 3,000 people around watching it, it was fun. We walked by and one of the guys on the float yelled in the microphone and just like to say a big hello to the mormon missionaries! and the everyone waved at us, it was cool kind of like we were part of the parade haha.

Things are going great with the work. People are a lot more receptive to hear a message about Christ because of the Christmas season. We have 5 investigators really close to baptism. We are working to help resolve their “dudas”. Hopefully we can get somebody baptised this month, it looks like its possible. We´ll see.

I´ve found out that a lot of people that are from the Catholic church just don´t want to talk to us because they are intimidated. My companion always jokes and says, there is not one catholic that doesn´t know that thier church is false. All of them know they are in error but they continue in it anyways because of tradition. And whats funny is I found a lot of that to be true. We´ve taught a lot of people who are either Catholic or Evangelical and they pray and gain a testimony of our church but they don´t want to switch because of tradition.

We were teaching one lady and she just didn´t want to pray. My companion in the middle of the lesson went down on his knees and said lets pray and ask to see if these things are true. They lady refused and she said this, “No, what if he answers and tells me its true and then I don´t want to be baptised”. Can you believe that? Its like even if they do know its true they are not willing to do the will of God just because of tradition. Sad.
