Things are moving along great on 15SecondFix.com, well, kind of. We had to delay the launch date to September 12th though because there was much more work to do then we had originally anticipated and it didn’t get factored in when we choose our original launch date.
On the brighter side of things, Andrew and his Mom made a really cool puppet for the site to star in some videos we will be shooting. I love it.
Let’s see here, in other news I’ve been chasing after Ben and Brittany’s cousin Katey. In reality though, it actually kind of dumb of me to get attached to somebody at this point because I’m leaving on my mission in a few weeks and to top it off she has a boyfriend but what I can I say? I can’t help it.
Katey recently had to go through a tonsillectomy surgery. So during this time I was thinking to myself… What can I possibly do to cheer her up? I can’t really bring her food, cards aren’t really my style, I’m terrible at selecting gifts, balloons… balloons on the other hand, those can be fun. So I went with the balloons.
I got a couple friends and together we filled up a bunch of balloons and wrote notes all over them for her to read. We ended up with over 850 balloons. It was insane! Blowing them up was like the worst thing ever– actually filling them up at my house and then transporting them across the city to her house was the worst thing ever, but it was worth it. Here’s a few pictures from the adventure.
Here’s a good shot of Andrew doing what he does best.
Sean came to help out for about 2 seconds but his help was much appreciated. When you have over 850 balloons to fill you could use all the help you can get. Much love goes out to Clayton, Andrew, Sean, Julio and Brandon for helping. You guys rock!
To make transporting the balloons to Katey’s house easier we put all of the balloons in trash bags. This is a shot of all those trash bags in my living room.
Here’s a shot of Katey’s room while we were filling it up. I love balloons.
Oh, and for the sake of randomness and coolness, here is a figure Andrew made out of only bending forks together. Too cool.
Well, thats that. Mission accomplished. Despite all the frustrations that came along with blowing up and transporting that many balloons, after seeing Katey smiling as a result of it made the entire endeavor completely worth it. She’s awesome.
Now that I’ve successfully filled up a room full of balloons its time to move onto another dream of mine. Scrooge McDuck’ing it and swimming through a room of money. Someday…
