This will most likely be the last post I ever make as a single man. This Saturday I am going to get married to the love of my life, Sarah Gonzalez-Chavez and couldn’t be happier. A lot of people have been asking me recently, “Are you nervous?” or “How do you feel?”. To be completely honest I feel totally normal. I’m lucky, I don’t get stressed all that often. I’m usually really good under pressure and rarely crack. I joked with some of my co-workers and said, “If we were ever in a situation where there was a bomb and somebody needed to cut the wire– that guy would be me because I don’t buckle under stressful situations. I’d just take a wire in my hand and be like, eh, how about this one? *SNIP!*”

Truth be told, maybe I’m not at all nervous because I know its the right thing to do. I have never felt more ready to be married in my entire life. I just know its the next step to take in my life and I’m not freaked out about it because I know I’m making the right choice. I really couldn’t have found a better person to spend the rest of–forever with. If anything instead of nervous I am actually VERY excited. Also, I am SO happy I am going to not only be getting so much work off, but I am also going to be getting PAID to do it! How cool is that? How could you not be happy spending a full week with the love of your life in none other then Cancun, Mexico?! You can expect to see lots of sweet pictures that are going to make you very jealous coming soon.
In other news, Sarah and I decided to back down on the house offer. We originally had placed an offer for a home and they accepted it but after doing some careful thinking/praying we decided to not go through with it. We mutually felt that it just wasn’t time for us to purchase a home yet. It’s not that we cant afford it but we just don’t feel right about it and from what I’ve learned from past experiences, needing to know the why isn’t important, usually it’s best to just blindly follow. I currently have an apartment that I am leasing until the end of August so we will just live there until we can find some other place to move into.
Other than that, life’s great. Like I previously said, the wedding is this Saturday. We are going to be married in the morning in the Salt Lake Temple and in the afternoon we’ll have a luncheon and ring ceremony for mostly family and real close friends. The reception is going to be in the evening so if you are reading this and would like to stop by, consider yourself invited. Here’s all the info you’ll need to get there.
The reception will be held at:
LDS Chapel
440 E. 800 S.
Orem, Utah
6:00 - 9:00pm
I hope to see you there!!
P.S. For all you single people out there, if I could do it, you can do it. There is hope. You’ll be in my prayers. Yes, that means even you can do it Dustin. Heh.
P.P.S. Oh happy day! I am the number 1 Will Robertson in the world!!!!!
